#27 - Nick Herrera Won't Burn His Second Chance
If you know me even a little, then you know that the relatively new restaurant, Whitestone, in Dana Point, is a place I enjoy immensely. In the early days of the pandemic and mandated state shut down here in California, I had Chef Tony Celeste on the podcast to discuss how the restaurant was hoping to survive - now though it is his partner's time to shine. Chef Nick Herrera has a story more common than you would think for the hospitality industry. A troubled past that led to serving time, only to be given a second chance at life through cooking. Though that story may be more common than you would think, his resume in that time has been anything but, now landing him at Whitestone.
