#73 - Nurturing Native Son with Jon Sanchez

Let's kick off 2022 with a bang!

How will we do that? By sitting down with the wonderful charming Jon Sanchez of Native Son, in Santa Ana. Native Son may not be a bar you're familiar with unless you live in the area, and that’s a true shame. It is a wonderful place - unpretentious, honest, and welcoming to all. It achieves this while providing fantastic beers, great bites, and - rather recently - a cocktail program that puts many to shame. It is a fun place where all are welcome. 

We sit down to discuss how Native son came to be, how it has evolved, and what the process of delegation is like in an industry where there are so many constantly moving pieces and things that can go wrong. It should be noted by the way that we recorded this episode during torrid downpours which had found their way through the bar's very roof right in the middle of our episode, so, literally, there are no days off when you own a great bar.
